Uralic or Finno-Ugric language family: the most ancient population of the North. Peoples of the Uralic family in Eastern Europe (Baltic Finns, Lapps, Mordvinians, Mari, Udmurt, Komi, Nenets).
Sesión 4: 20 de octubre
Prehistory of the Uralic peoples: Uralic original home and formation of the Uralic or Finno-Ugric groups. How do we research prehistory when written sources are absent?

Indo-European language family: trans-Eurasian cultural connections. Indo-Europeans in Eastern Europe: ancient Aryans of the steppe belt, Slavs and Balts.
Sesión 6: 3 noviembre
Indo-European original home: the problem of localization in time and space. Ancient migrations of Indo-Europeans. Slavic original home, origins of Russians.
Sesión 7: 10 noviembre
Altaic language family: cattle breaders and nomads across Eurasia. Original home of Turkic peoples. Turkic migrations to the West, origins of Chuvash and Tatars.
Sesión 8: 17 noviembre
Generalization: ethnic history of the Volga-Ural region, how the multi-national and multi-confessional region formed.
